Meet the Team
At the heart of Vampyre: The Eternal Coterie is a partnership built on story, art, and an unshakable vision. Co-creators Dawn and Josh Siewert weave words and images into a world of blood, prophecy, and ancient darkness.
Dawn crafts the saga’s intricate lore, unforgettable characters, and centuries-spanning plots—drawing on her passion for history, mythology, and tales of resilience. Josh brings that vision to life visually, illustrating every piece of Vampyre: 1208 artwork with cinematic depth and emotional power.
Together, they merge gothic atmosphere with epic storytelling, inviting readers into a realm where even the night has something to fear.
Dawn Siewert
Dawn Siewert is the creator of the sprawling dark fantasy saga Vampyre: The Eternal Coterie, a 26-book epic spanning over 1,300 years of blood, shadow, and prophecy. Known for her immersive world-building, layered ensemble casts, and unflinching exploration of moral ambiguity, Siewert weaves together gothic horror, historical intrigue, and mythic lore into stories where the line between savior and predator is never clear.
A lifelong storyteller with a passion for history, witchcraft, and tales of overcoming immense challenges, she blends meticulous research with cinematic imagination to create worlds that feel as real as they are dangerous. Her work combines the supernatural camaraderie of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the mythic scope of Supernatural, and the epic sweep of timeless fantasy sagas.
In addition to writing, Dawn is the owner and director of an employee-owned childcare center in Seattle, Washington. She has been married to her co-author, Josh Siewert, for 25 years, and together they share a love of Disney, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and crafting stories that balance darkness with hope.
Vampyre: 1208, the first installment in her flagship series, invites readers into a realm where even the night has something to fear.
Josh Siewert
Josh Siewert is the co-author and lead artist behind Vampyre: The Eternal Coterie, bringing the saga’s dark, sprawling world to life through both words and imagery. His dynamic, atmospheric artwork shapes the visual identity of Vampyre: 1208 and the entire 26-book epic, infusing each scene with cinematic energy and detail.
A lifelong lover of cinema, Josh draws creative inspiration from the high-octane choreography of The Raid, the mythic scope of Star Wars, and the rich visual storytelling of the cult comic Cerebus. His art blends grit, beauty, and symbolism, creating a perfect mirror to the series’ gothic tone and sweeping narrative.
When not writing or illustrating, Josh is often exploring new films, sketching in the quiet hours, or collaborating with his wife and co-author, Dawn Siewert, to bring their shared vision to life. Together, they balance storytelling, art, and family—celebrating 25 years of marriage and creative partnership.
